Lamsor 920 Moisture System

- Lamsor 920 is a fully automated, non-contact moisture sensor to be used by the lumber industry for in-line applications. Lamsor 920 uses a laser beam as the moisture sensing probe. Information about the analyzed boars is encoded onto a laser beam and transmitted to the computer. All data is automatically calibrated for the speed of the conveyor, and corrected for any non-uniformities in the lumber (including knots and warpage). - The Lamsor system consists of a computer, a speed encoder, a laser controller, and one or more power supplies and laser heads (depending on the configuration required). See figure 1 for block diagram of the system. Since the laser and power supply require water cooling, an optional cooler is recommended.
